Hog Daze is back and better than ever! This year, August 13, 2021 through August 15, 2021, Marion Indiana will be hosting their annual Hog Daze Motorcycle Rally. Every biker knows that a Harley-Davidson motorcycle is called a “hog”. But, what they may not know is that the iconic nickname was coined in Marion, Indiana, almost 100 years ago.
Ever since that heart pounding race, Harley-Davidson and loyal bikers have adopted the term “hog.” Every August, Hog Daze Motorcycle Rally in Marion celebrates this historic race with a bike show, live music, swap meet and more. Bikers can even take their own victory lap around the Cornfield Classic track.
This year, live events are back, and we couldn’t be more excited! Guests will enjoy live, original music, a motorcycle rodeo, large swap meet, bike shows, loud pipes competition, and more summertime fun. The Cornfield Classic 2.0 short-track race to the extreme will take place on Saturday night.
Ray “Kansas Cyclone” Weishaar is a local super star here in Grant County, being that his greatest victory was at the nearly 52-mile Cornfield Classic Road Race, back in 1920. Not only did he win the race, he beat the standing race record by a whopping 18 minutes! To this day, the Cornfield Classic is a local favorite and one of the most exciting parts of the entire weekend!
