Dazzling Holiday Displays in Grant County

The holidays are approaching quickly, and we couldn’t be more excited! This Christmas season, Grant County hosts two amazing holiday light displays throughout the entire month of December. More than two million twinkling lights will illuminate the starry skies in Grant County this holiday season. Visitors and residents alike may celebrate and enjoy the dazzling lights from the comfort of their own cars, ensuring a safe way to enjoy the beautiful displays.

If you choose to walk around outside to enjoy the lights, we encourage you to wear a mask and practice safe, 6-feet social distancing when possible to help keep everyone safe.

Walkway of Lights

Marion, Indiana

The Walkway of Lights is Grant County’s famous winter wonderland, held annually in Marion, Indiana. With more than two million glittering lights in this display alone, the Walkway of Lights is one of the longest running and largest holiday light displays in all of the Midwest! This dazzling display is chock full of retro holiday vibes that are sure to put you in a festive Christmas spirit. From the 12 Days of Christmas to Garfield the lasagna loving cat, you’ll find plenty of reasons to be filled with Christmas cheer! You can enjoy the Walkway of Lights nightly from November 21 – December 31, 6pm to 10pm. You’ll discover the lights at 1403 N. Matter Park Rd. in Marion, Indiana. This year, entrance to see the lights will be free; however, they will be accepting donations!

Gas City Christmas Lights in the Park

Gas City, Indiana

In addition to Marion’s Walkway of Lights, Gas City proudly presents their own Christmas light display, beginning on November 25th and running through the end of December. This twinkling holiday display will occur nightly from 6pm to 9pm. Have you spotted the lasagna loving, festive fat cat Garfield here?  You’ll discover the lights at Beaner Linn Park, 701 S. Broadway, in Gas City, Indiana.

Both Walkway of Lights and Gas City Christmas Lights in the Park are a great way to get yourself into the holiday spirit! Due to COVID-19, visitors are required to practice safe social distancing protocol when in public. Masks will be necessary to enter inside establishments and are to be worn in situations when social distancing is not possible. These safety measures should allow everyone to have fun, all while staying safe.
