Ann Loveless Quilt Workshop

Join us for this workshop, ‘Spring Small Fabric Mosaic Quilt‘. Ann Loveless has developed a very distinctive quilting technique working from photographs. She is a two time winner of Artprize in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You will make a 7″ x 10″ spring fabric mosaic landscape art quilt. It will involve cutting and fusing fabrics to create a background. It will be free-motion machine quilted. Additional fusing and cutting of trees, flowers and leaves will create a beautiful spring woodland scene. $55. Take journaling to the next level! Learn how to create a place for art, goals, gratitude, organization, etc. Everyone can be creative!  $5 fee includes all supplies except journal – please bring your own journal or notebook. Our featured author is Jacqueline Woodson who writes fiction and poetry, and sometimes combines the two. We’ll enjoy chips and spicy cheese dip together and develop family ‘kindness’ projects. Register in the Children’s Activity Room.

Take a look at some of the books that inspired the author, decorate your own journal, draw your family and friends as cartoon characters. We’ll meet in the Children’s Activity Room.

Let’s celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with snacks, games, stories and crafts! Children preschool-6th are invited to the party! Register in the Children’s/Youth Services area. We’ll meet in the Children’s Activity Room.

Celebrate National Quilting Day by attending this fabric and quilt dating workshop with Arnold Savage. Free workshop, registration required. Following the workshop, attendees will head to Brook’s Upper Crust Pizza for lunch, and then take in Savage’s exhibit, Arnold Savage: My Family’s Life In Textiles, at the Quilters Hall of Fame.  Register Here.
