Join us at Matter Park’s Garden House for hands-on workshops,fun kids’ activities, eco-friendly vendors and exhibits, and free trees, all celebrating Earth Day! Activities for kids, green exhibits, and contests. No admission charge.

Happy Hearts and Arts

Come make memories at our creative celebration of Valentine’s Day! Craft valentines with your own two hands, make decorations as gifts for friends, family, or yourself. DIY arts stations will be set up for you to create your own masterpieces. To keep your creative juices flowing, punch and cookies will be served. Limited to the first 100 participants. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The fun happens at the Garden House at Matter Park.

Mississinewa 1812

Largest War of 1812 living history event in the U. S.  Battle re-enactments, reconstructed Indian village, trapper camps, sutlers, traditional craftsmen, food purveyors, and musicians.  The Battle of Mississinewa 1812 commemorates the battle fought here between 600 federal troops and British-allied Indians. Authentic attention to detail makes the difference as you step back in time to 1812 at this fresh air museum of life in times past. Friday 9am-4pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 9am-4pm.  Free parking, free shuttle bus Saturday and Sunday from Justice Middle School, 720 N. Miller Ave. Marion, IN.

Splash House at Junction Park

Water slides, lazy river, play pad, sand volleyball area, and a large wave pool make this the place to be for summer sun and family fun. Cabana rentals, locker rentals, and concessions. Surf lessons available. Private parties and special group rates. Seasonal, M-Sat 11am-6pm, Sun noon-6pm.  $8 adult, $6 children, students & seniors. Free admission age 2 years and under.  Season passes available. August 7, 2017 the Splash House will be open weekends only until Labor Day 2017.
