Outdoor Adventures Day Camp

Kids ages 7-12 are invited to join us for two days of fun activities. Activities include outdoor cooking, archery, canoeing, hiking, and learning survival skills. Camp runs from 9:30am-4:30pm each day, and families are encouraged to camp for the night to enjoy evening stories around a campfire. All activities are led by trained Interpretive Naturalists and a certified shooting sports instructor. Daily lunch and a snack are included. Read To The Dogs

Join us  to read your favorite book to some wonderful dogs. Register in the Children’s/Youth Services area.

Second Saturdays at the Salamonie

Build a shelter and take a beginners class on successfully surviving in the outdoors. Indoor and outdoor activities. $5 per person.  Pre-Registration requested. We’ll meet at the Interpretive Center. Event fulfills requirements for various Scout groups.

Smokey Bear’s Birthday Bash

Celebrate Smokey Bear’s birthday with games, food, a parade, live music, campsite decorating contests, and lots of fun! Saturday from 8am-10:30am chow down on pancakes and sausage prepared by the Upper Wabash Interpretive Services Friends group. Donations gratefully accepted. Party at the pond from 2:30pm-4:30pm – there will be water games with the local fire department, a corn hole tournament, and a youth archery shoot (equipment and safety instruction provided).
