Marion Philharmonic Orchestra in Concert

March 3 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

‘Beethoven Lives Upstairs!’.  This world famous production features a lively exchange of letters between young ‘Christoph’ and his uncle. Their subject is the ‘madman’ who has moved into the upstairs apartment of Christoph’s Vienna home.. The letters recount stories of Beethoven, the man who has taken the upstairs room, playing late into the night and other strange behaviors. Finally, after attending the famous first performance of the Ninth Symphony, Christoph comes to understand the genius of Beethoven, the torment of his deafness, and the beauty of his music.  Audience members will have the opportunity to respond at each concert this season via cell phone their reactions to the concert, and to the three innovative conductor candidates, one of whom will be named Maestro. Adults $20, Students 13 and up $10, Students $12 and under free with adult ticket. All general admission seating. Elementary-age young people are encouraged to wear their pajamas to the performance if they choose.
