Race into May with the annual CSA Go Arts Go Karts Race scheduled for May 23, 2008. This exciting race brings together arts enthusiasts and the local business community for an event that brings out the best in everyone. Businesses and their drivers begin their racing hype and bantering months in advance to prepare ther THE Racing Event of the year! Fun for everyone, the main attraction of this event is the quarter mile track and the race, but be prepared to be dazzled by performances from the CSA dance groups, an art fair provided by CSA visual arts students, refreshments - a complete celebration! This annual fundraiser celebrate the arts and provides operational income and scholarships for the entire CSA student base. And Sprint Car Racing speeds into the Gas City I-69 Speedway each and every Friday night this season! The Speedway offers the thrill of non-wing spring cars, UMP modifieds and UMP street stocks, as well as special events throughout the season. Located 1 mile west of I-69, exit 59 on State Road 22, drivers fly around the semi-banked, clay 1/4 mile track. Did you know that many Indy Car and NASCAR drivers have used sprint car racing as a stop on their way to more high profile divisions? The list incudes Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and Sarah Fisher. Race enthusiasts pack the main grandstand in Gas City every weekend, cheering on their favorite driver, each one hoping to set a new track record. Catch Racing Fever, and get to Gas City!
